About J&B Landscaping
A landscaping contractor based in Riverside and working on homes and commercial properties across the Inland Empire and Southern California — full-property installs, artificial grass, decorative rock, hardscape and upkeep.
Who This Is
A Landscaping Crew for Inland Empire Properties
J&B Landscaping works across the Inland Empire and Southern California, on residential yards and on commercial and common-area landscapes — full-property installs from a bare lot, artificial grass and decorative rock, hardscape, irrigation and drainage, water-wise lawn conversions, and the ongoing maintenance that keeps a finished landscape in shape.
Most enquiries are one of two things: a property owner starting or reworking a whole yard, or someone with a specific problem — a failing patio, a soaked side yard, a water bill that jumped.
A project runs in a set sequence, and the written estimate is meant to match what actually gets built — no line items that quietly appear once the work is underway.
Built Around Three Things
Every job is organised around the parts that decide whether a landscape lasts — solved first, in this order, because planting and paving over a soft base or unresolved drainage never holds.
Water has to run off the house and the hardscape before anything is planted.
A compacted sub-base is the reason a patio is still flat, and a bed still drains, in five years.
Drip zoned by plant on a weather-based controller, built to the state water ordinance.
How The Work Is Done
What To Expect On A Job
The first visit is a real look, not a sales call
We walk the property, talk through how each area is used, take measurements and photos, and shoot the drainage falls with a level. Anything structural — grade, a leaning wall, water pooling at the foundation — is flagged then, because it changes the plan.
Utilities are located before anything is dug
Every trenching job in California starts with a DigAlert (811) request, with two working days’ notice, so marked utilities are known before a shovel goes in.
Permitted work goes through the process properly
Retaining walls over four feet, grading above the local threshold, new electrical circuits and work in the public parkway need city permits and inspections — the rules vary between Inland Empire jurisdictions and we pull the right ones for your address. Larger new or renovated landscapes are also checked against California’s Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance.
The site is left usable at the end of each day
Debris is contained and hauled to green-waste recycling rather than blown into the street or a neighbour’s yard. On planting jobs the irrigation controller is handed over on an establishment schedule with a plan to step it down.
